Focused on Wellness

About us

We have been running yoga classes at The Studio since 2018. Our regular teacher Debra has moved on to patures new, so we are actively seeking new teachers for those regular students that would like to continue their classes in these calm and peaceful surroundings.

Beginner Classes

I introduce yoga to those that have always wanted to try it or have attended classes but felt a little out of place and never returned.

My classes take a slow approach to all poses and achieve the correct alignment of your body before taking the pose to another level. Once you feel confident, assured and knowledgeable about the pose, we then take the practice further.

Why Yoga

The benefits of yoga are immense. Here are just a few

  • A yoga lesson can provide the same cardiovascular workout as a run or a swim but you don’t leave your mat
  • Weight loss, strengthens muscles and bones, plus tones your core
  • Reduces the level of stress hormones which in turn improves sleep quality and calmness
  • Improves flexibility, posture and balance helping to keep the spine supple
Am I too old for Yoga?
Most definitely not, anybody at any age can start yoga and notice immediate benefits.
Will I lose weight?
It will aid weight loss and your body will become more toned which in turn will make you feel great and boost self esteem.
I have never done yoga before and I’m not a health freak.
Yogis don’t judge, it’s for everyone and all are welcome.
I’m worried. My body is so stiff and I can’t touch my toes.
Then you should definitely do yoga! The body was designed to keep moving and if you haven’t touched your toes since leaving school, don’t worry there is no such thing as being bad at yoga
I have a bad back, dodgy knee or hips. Can I still do Yoga.
With any medical condition, as long as your GP has given you the go ahead to do physical exercise, yoga poses can be adapted to make sure you get the most from the class.
